Following the decision of Wiltshire Council on 9 September 2020 in respect of the Community Governance Review, the Local Government Boundary Commission for England has provided the necessary consent to the proposed changes between Melksham and Melksham Without. A legal order has now been made confirming the changes, to take effect in 2021.

Accordingly, Melksham Without Parish Council will comprise 13 councillors across 3 wards (Berryfield 2, Bowerhill 7, Beanacre, Shaw, Whitley and Blackmore 4). The unitary divisions of Melksham East and Bowerhill are in the process of being amended to match the new ward boundaries.

The housing developments at Sandridge Place, and the development at Hunters Wood/The Acorns will be transferring from Melksham Without Parish to Melksham Town at the time of the Election in May 2021.
